Made it home

I was 16 miles away from saying i have driven across the US...yea I was driving on the 91 around 330 and for those of you familiar with that freeway and time, you will know there are a lot of cars around that time. Well my truck decided it didnt want to drive anymore, so it stalled in traffic where the 91 met the 57, I couldnt get off the 91, so I got on the 57 and took the first exit and my truck died. After talking to Jessica and home, we got ahold of Jessica's dad and he came out to drive the UHaul home while my truck and I were towed home. That was fun. A good half hour drive with the tow truck driver...that is an entry in its self, but I wont mention that. To get to the point, I am home...my truck isnt so good, I will know more about that tomorrow. Now for the job hunt.

Trip home

What a long day, we left Liberal, KS at 8am and we just got into Flagstaff, AZ around 10pm (really 11, but it is mountain time). Drove the entire route. What a long day, nothing cool to see, just some weird people but that is to be expected. Will be home tomorrow...more on all that later. Home=job and permanent home search. Bed time.

Ice

The storm hit as predicted...it came in late Monday night and continued through the morning and part of the day...it is the worst ice I have seen in the last 4 1/2 years. Jessica described it as a war zone. Trees were everywhere power lines were down everywhere. More than 12,000 people were without heat and we were all told to conserve water. We lost power for a little over 24 hours, some are still without power tonight.

Here is a little video to better explain it

The real world?

So I walked...didnt trip, I managed to get the photos in focus and even got the dean to smile for a photo. Texted conversations with my brother during the entire ceremony, kept him awake for the most part. All in all it was a pain in the butt and yea I am a college graduate, but the graduation wasnt everything they build it up to be. But whatever...what is done is done and I have to pass my finals this week and get on with life. As promised here are some photos from that wonderful day.

The fam is here

So the family is here and in the morning I will walk across a stage and get a fake piece of paper, sit and wait for everyone else to walk through...I think it will be ok...I just have to watch my step and not fall. I have to study for finals and worry about packing to drive back to CA next week. Leaving everything that has meant so much over the last 4.5 years to go back to CA and the unknown. Jess got a call today from a magazine, hopefully that will work out. I applied for a few more places, hoping something will come from it. We will see. I will have more on all this thing called life later. Stay tuned for graduation pictures later.

Latest Work

Got the chance to spend some time with Jordy Nelson on Monday afternoon. It was fun to shot. He is so humble and nice to talk to. We got access to the locker room and some field shots. He is in Orlando this weekend where he is up for a receiver's award whose name I can't remember. Anyway here are some photos.

What a long day

Well the women's basketball team won the Commerce Bank classic again, maybe some day they will actually play a decent team or two. It was fun to watch them lost two years ago to Liberty. Whatever tho. Volleyball lost too, there is something this season about not being able to close out matches. I thought we had it in the bag when we went up 2-0 and led during the third game. O well, my last match was a great one. I didn't get much good dejection photos, but I did get a lot of action. Here are some photos from the bball game and volleyball. Much more to come later, even some photos from a wood kiln I shot..that was hitt

First Entry

So I thought I would give this blog thing a try. I will use this to post some of my photos for people to see and it will also be a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends. So look for more photos and cool things in the near future.
